Hello everyone, are you ready for the weekend? I am for sure. Today I was browsing thru some of my favorite sites and I just love the tip of the day on MY CRAFT CHANNEL and today I had to try it out. It is a simple box/bag (large too)made out of two sheets of 12x12 paper. I sometime have need for a larger bag to give a gift in and boy this is easy to make. I had decided that I was going to start using what I have and not buy much more craft supplies till some of it is gone, so this helped me to thin it out some. Everything is from my stash. I will prob give this to someone thats crafty so I know they will appreciate it and maybe reuse it. I hope you like my version. Its more vintage looking, but not totally. LOL I used Elegant Edges for the tag and Doodletype for the sentiment.

Birthday Card and a CAKE

Hi everyone, sorry its been a bit longer to post something then I really intended. Today is my Moms Birthday and Ive been busy baking her a cake. I made her a card last night. I would like to show you both of them this evening. For the card I used a premade card base that I had purchased awhile back and added my own embellishments to it. I used all scrap papers for it and I was able to use my MS border punch that rarely gets used. Although I used no cricut on this card, I think it turned out really pretty. I was at my M's the other day and found a jar of paper roses for cheap sale and had to purchase them. LOL, I knew they were going on a card for my mom. It rarely ever happens that I have an intended use when I buy craft supplies, I usually just buy them because its pretty or I think I may use it on something down the road. I added some glimmer mist to the roses I put on the card and WOW they are gorgeous. HOPE you like. OH by the way, I will be hand delivering the card tonight when we have cake and ice cream to celebrate her special day. This card is way to dimensional for mailing and my mom lives less then 2 minutes from me. LOL

Here I added some Jolee's crystals on my stamped image and boy they shine.

Now on to the CAKE.

I greatly lack with my writing skills, this is when I need to pull out my cake machine, but I had no gum paste made so I had to use my writing tip.
I love making Roses with powdered sugar icing, a skill taught to me by my MOM.

I added some edible flakes to add a bit of bling, really wished I would have kept it off, but once you add its too late to remove. LOL

Well I hope you enjoyed looking today and I am trying to get another redo LAYOUT going so stay tuned.

Hope that we are giving you all lots of inspiration to complete all your Valentine's day projects. OK that's all the intro I need to include (I hope)lol, so on with my project(S). First off I want to tell you all that I am a scrapbooker and that's what I feel I'm the best at, so keep that in mind when you take a look at my not scrapbook pages projects. LOL I really struggle for some reason with cards and such, but still like to do them. I decided that I prob. wasn't going to need a valentines LO this yr, so I really didn't want to make one and have it go unpic-ed (I don't think that's a word) for yrs, so I went with cards and a very simple gift bag topper for my school bus kids.
       OK here is the first card, it will go to my niece who just totally adores Eeyore. For this card, I was able to use alot of my scraps, which I have a ton of, so its sweet when you can use what you have.

Bet you can guess what cart I used. YEP Pooh and Friends and I believe that Eeyore is cut at 4" and is on a Standard A2 size card base which is white. I couldn't resist using props in today's pics. LOL

I used George for the heart and heat embossed BE MINE. I also used a MS border punch on here, along with some on hand pink pearls.

CARD 2

I will be giving this one to my hubs. I think he will get a kick out of it. I love this 2 seat bike cut on Sweethearts and had to use it some how on his card, so I started playing around and this is the end result. I didn't what it to girly for him, so I didn't put bling on it other then the red glittered paper background. This card is 5 x 5 size.

For my sentiment, I grabbed my tape label maker and some red tape and walla, after about a zillion turns on the thing, my sentiment was born. LOL

Here is the inside of his card, HE (my hubby) will get a kick out of it.

OK last quick project is my bag topper, this was way to simple. It speaks for itself.

I will be adding another candy or two to these before I give them out, but this is what I have so far for my School bus kids.

Redo Layout series LO #2

Happy Sunday evening everyone, hope your weekend went well. I was able to work on another redo Layout last week and finally completed it today. When I went to load the original pic, I couldnt find it so I think it got deleted from my camera, but believe me the redo is soooo much better. This LO is my Daughters preschool graduation way back in 1994. WOW She will be 23 in early march. The old LO was a one pager but since I found some more pics I was able to make it a dble pager. I used 4 different pattern papers on this LO and 2 cricut carts. This is probably not your normal graduation LO but I really like it. Anytime I can use flowers on a LO I'm happy. I hope you like. For my carts I used Locker talk, Ashlyns alphabet. For my flowers I used some prima flowers. The brads I used are from my original Layout which I was glad I was able to reuse some of the items from the original. I cut the large circle with my circle cutter.

Love how the flowers turned out. I so wanted to sew on this LO but my little sewing machine called it quits and my big one needs some tuning, so I wasn't able to get that done. Maybe some other time.

Really like how this turned out. The heart is from a new studio G stamp set I picked up at walmart on Friday.

Redoing old Layouts series 1st redo

The weather here as been soooo nice lately that Ive been riding my horse rather than doing much in my cave. I did however, finally get my first redo LO done and I'm here to show it to you.

Well I am aware that this is the 3rd day of January and Im just now getting around to posting for the new yr. I have been busy with family but I hope that my life will get back to some kind of normal now. I took a 2 night bus trip right after Christmas and needed to catch up on a few things after I got home, then got ready to celebrate the new yr and havent had alot of time to spend in the cave. I have however, started on a new LO and will b posting it after Im done. A few months ago I was going thru some of my scrapbooks and there was a few Layouts that I just couldnt stand ( they were before cricut or just down right ugly) LOL I am starting to redo them. I failed to take a before pic of the first one, but will try to remember to do that from here on, so you can see both sides of it. lol I hope to post that Layout in the next day or two. MY house needs cleaned and the bills need payed and the laundry needs started, so as soon as I can I will get it completed and posted, but I am workin on it. LOL So HAPPY NEW YR to everyone, may this yr be prosperous for all.

Hi everyone, I wanted to get this card up before everything happens, so I'm taking the time to post it today. This will more then likely be the last project post till after Christmas. I recently purchased the Cart MEOW from a black Friday sale at Menard's and just had to use this image to for my card. This die cut is the reason I wanted this cart. I cut the cat hanging from the line at 3.5" and the back ground frame is cut at (I think) 4.25" using a shape on elegant edges. This is going to a 12 yr old boy that recently learned he has cancer. I wanted to keep it simple without alot of pattern, so this is the end result. The Sentiment is printed from a font on my computer. Well thanks for cking in today. I want to wish everyone a very MERRY CHRISTMAS. I will ck in, in a few days to let you all know how my situation is progressing. I wish this on no one, its a living night mare. Thanks for all the kind comments you have been leaving for me, they are such a blessing to read and knowing I have some great blogging friends out there. I was wanting to do a Christmas LST series before Christmas but that now has to be put on hold. I will see if everyone would like one After Christmas. Thanks everyone and God Bless.

Hope you enjoy what I have for you today. I made three cards using my Sophie cartridge for you today. I have to honestly tell you that I really struggle with my card making. I'm better when the format is 12x12. LOL
I looked thru my cart handbook and decided which images I wanted to cut, and off I went on my cards. Here they are:
I know they are all different kinds of cards, but wanted to show that this cart can be used for just about any type card.

                                                                            CARD 1

This is a card that I really dreaded making but a fellow school bus driver lost her husband on Thanksgiving day, and I really wanted to send her a card to let her know that I was thinking of her. I really, really struggle making any kind of sympathy card, but I think this one turned out ok. I used the image on page 45 of the handbook. I didn't use any of the creative features, just the label4 base and shift keys. I used an A2 base and added a strip of contrasting CS to the center then added my Label. The Sympathy stamp is one I purchased a couple yrs ago and don't have the slightest on the brand. The Ribbon is by PRIMA and the YOUR IN MY PRAYERS stamp is a Cardz TV stamp from the Encouraging Thoughts set.

CARD 2

This is a great card when you need those cards FAST. I love the fact that on this cart I could cut this card out in several different looks but still use the tree. I used the card 3 feature and cut the entire card at 5.25"but didn't use the shift key to cut the inside piece. This base paper is from my Imagine using the Mr.frosty cart. The top section of the card is some DCWV pattern paper. This cart has 4 different card features, a Doily and bookmark features as well. Matter of fact, I used the Doily feature for my sentiment on this card. I also heat embossed the sentiment.

OK confession here, this die cut was cut, but I wound up not liking it for the card I was making so I set it aside thinking of throwing it away. It is on page43 in the hand book, and I was wanting to make the window card with it, but my colors were not right. I'm a scrapbooker remember. LOL I struggle with cards. Anyway, I used the card 1 feature to cut it ,but like I said I didn't like my color choices. After I was done with the other two cards I happened to see this die cut on my table, and I really hated to throw it away. OH it was cut on white paper with little black dots, so I went to my inks and found a blue I liked and started inking the die cut. I then thought, what could I do with it. I just started playing with it and this is the result using a die cut I was going to pitch. Its very simple. but I really like it. I used the Cuddlebug folder called Scrollwork and the die fit so well inside of there that I went with it. LOL Well that's about I all have for you today. Card Wednesday

Well today is the last day gang. Before I get started on today's post, I want to once again say A BIG THANK YOU to my Sister Connie for helping my make my Christmas November a big success, I couldn't have done it without her. I also want to thank all my great followers for making her feel welcome, I so much appreciate all of you.

Today I have 2 cards that I created with my I. I am really liking my I for quick projects. I still really Love my pink E though. LOL Hope you like these. Both of them are made using my new Santa's Village cart.

Imagine cards

The green card is A2 size and the Red one is a 5x7 gate fold card. Ive never made one like this before.

card 1

For this card I printed off the green stripe paper using my I on 5x7 so not to waste a whole sheet ( I used Mr Frosty for this). The check paper is some scrap DCWV paper and my Santa is from Santa's village cut at 4.5 on layers. I added the ribbon to finish it off. The Sentiment at the bottom is a stamp that I have.

Card 2

This card is a first for me, since its a gate fold. I wanted to try something different so I happened to look at my MS score board and there was measurements for this gate fold style card. The Santa ( layererd) and tree are using SV and the tan paper is from Mr Frosty. I used my computer and printer for the sentiment.

For this side of the card I placed my I paper on the left side flap and added my tree (unlayered), did some hand stitching and placed another computer sentiment (CHECKING IT TWICE).

The polka dot paper is printed from SV. The inside sentiment is also from my computer and can you guess what its says? LOL (going to find out who's naughty and nice). I have a plan for this one. Well gang that finishes up my Christmas November. I hope you all enjoyed visiting during this month. I will prob get tied up with life during December, so if I don't post for a day or two don't worry I will be back ASAP. I know that I am driving our Wrestling team to their matches and I will prob be gone most Saturdays till they are done with the season. So my crafty time will be limited. Tag Tuesday

Hello everyone, can you believe that we only have one more day of my Christmas November series, I sure can't, where did the month go anyway? I am continuing on with using my Imagine for this final week so I hope you like what I have for you. I kinda went on the easy side of it today. LOL As in my last post I have purchased a new Imagine cart Called Santa's Village and I had no idea that it had a page full of tags on it. They are making me a lazy scrapper today. ENJOY! PS I did add my own little touch to the bigger tags.

For these tags I added the holes for the ribbon and rounded the corners and added some Christmas stickers that I had in my stash. I just don't use stickers for much of anything so I was thrilled to use some of them for these. I think they add so much to the tags. I just wrote the to and from on each of the tags that needed it. So if you have an I or plan to get one, (maybe you got one from Walmart on Black Friday) look into this cart. Its a keeper in my books. I used up some scrap ribbon and stickers on these very simple tags that will add so much to my Christmas gifts appearance. Well that's about it for today. I told ya I went the easy way out. Layout Monday

Happy Monday everyone, Can you believe that this is the final LO Monday for my Christmas November series. I'm so sad that its almost over. I want to let you know that I have decided that this week I will be dedicating the last three projects to my Imagine. So I will begin with today's LO. Most of this LO is made using my Imagine, including the base papers, die cuts and picture mats. For this one I used the carts, Santa's
Village and Enjoy the Seasons, both of which are new carts to me, so I was thrilled to be able to use them. Hope you like. OH and by the way This is my first LO using solely my Imagine.

Most of my die cuts are pop dotted and layered. I had alot of fun making this LO. I have only used imagine carts to date in my I but maybe now that I'm a bit more used to it I can get using some of my other loved carts with my I. Hope you enjoyed seeing my LO today. I plan on putting pictures of our small towns Christmas parade on this LO that has now been canceled twice due to Rain. Bag it Friday!

HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE!!!! Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I did, ate too much as usual but it was all so yummy!!
I had this little box around and decided to try to make it into something I could put a gift in, I'll show you at the end what I started with. I wanted to get rid of some more of those scraps so I just glued them on my box added a few cuts ,some stampin, ribbon, jewels and an acrylic sticker.

This is the box I started with! I had picked this up for a camping weekend at my favorite store ( Dollar General) for a buck. I am putting in a couple packs of hot chocolate, some mini mallows and some candy for our mail carrier. Hope she likes it! Its the perfect size to put some cards in too (4.75" H x 5" W x 2"D).

Home Decor / Gift

First of all, Tammy and I want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. We also want to say thanks for following along with us this month, we have enjoyed doing this.

Now, for my project I thought I'd try something else I had never done before. Use my Xyron to make magnets for the fridge. I had to cut the magnet away from the die cut so I tried to use cuts that weren't too complicated.

Santa (4") and the stocking (5") were cut from Doodlecharms. Tree (5.5") from SCC.

These were really easy to do (except for the fussy cutting). I used a Xyron 510 with the magnet. All the papers were scraps.

Card Wednesday

Wow Wednesday already?! I have so enjoyed doing these projects. I hope you have enjoyed it also.
For today I have 4 cards for you. I actually made 2 each of these to give out to my family, Tam you'll have to guess which one you'll be getting! HAHA.

I cut down a 8.5" x 11" sheet of plain cardstock to 6" x 9" and folded in half for the card base.

Blue base is 5.75" x 4.5"

crackled paper 5.5" x 4"

gray 4.5" x 3.25"

snowflake paper 4.25" x 3"

I used these measurements on all the cards, just used diffrent papers. The blue ribbons I picked up at Dollar General. Santa was cut from Doodlecharms @ 3"

I used a I-rock to put a gem on the dove's eye and used my glue pen and some green glitter for the branch. Also a little jute. Dove cut from SCC @ 3"

Just love these mittens! Mittens cut from Holiday Cakes @ 3"

Ornaments cut from Holiday cakes @ 2.5". I used stickles to bring out some bling on these.

Here is my first project for the week, hope you enjoy what I have for you all week.

For my cuts I used Scandinavian Christmas Cards, Santa @ 4.5", Dove @ 2.5", Bells @ 3"

For my font I used Gypsy Wanderings and welded them together on my G. I used some crystal stickles to give it a little sparkle! My ribbons came from some I got at Big Lots.

Bag it Friday

Happy Friday everyone, today I have for you a fun bag (not really a bag at all) that I created using an oats container. I had lots of Christmas paper scraps that I just didn't think I would ever use, till my brain went to overdrive. I got to thinking I wanted to do a not so traditional bag LOL, so I got to thinking of something that would make a nice container that I could alter using my cricut. For some reason an oats container came to mind, then I thought about all the Christmas scraps I have and then it was like a light bulb came on. LOL I had never ever used MOD PODGE in my life mind ya, but my thinking kept telling me to use it to place my scraps on the container then decorate with cricut. LOL HOPE YOU LIKE! This is the large oats container.

OK I have to admit I WILL be making more of these and I think I will get better at placing my papers with the next one. I wanted the hodge podge look and I'm close to what I had visioned in my mind. I will how ever tear more of my papers next time, rather then having so many square edges. You could do this soooooo many ways, let your taste guide you. I first took my mod podge and with a foam brush, brushed on the glue in small areas at a time and began placing papers on, then after getting them on I went over the paper I just put on. Then you just keep going till you get it all covered. I did go over the entire container again after getting all my papers on and the glue was dry. Clear as mud right. LOL I'M hooked using mod podge.

I added the gift stickers once it was all dry, thought they were perfect.

This oat container had a plastic lid so I just use it for a template and cut a circle with SCRAP paper and glued it to the top. I added the ribbon on the side to hide the plastic rim. OH I HAVE TO TELL YOU All but for and you of the cricut cuts are scraps die cuts, ALL papers are from my scrap box. I LOVE THAT. I'm out of Christmas die cuts so I will have to cut some for my others that I want to make. LOL I do however have lots more Christmas paper scraps. I plan on putting cookies in here for the mail ladies to enjoy at the post office.

I didn't remove the label on the container so the label received all the glue. : ) I do plan on placing the cookies in plastic bags anyway. You could put just about anything in here. HEY what about the Jar I made, during my first week of projects . PERFECT>..

Home Decor/Gift Thursday

Hi everyone, welcome to the cave today. Today is home decor/gift day, so I hope you like it. I first started with plain $1 wood frames purchased at Michaels. I used acrylic paint and crackle medium to distress them. I painted one with red, one with white, and one with green. I then took the center that came with the frame and covered each one with paper that coordinated with the planned die cut. I distressed these as well. Hope you enjoy!

I glued buttons on the lower Left hand corner of the red one and also on the upper Right hand side of the green frame to tie them together as a set. I also distressed the buttons and added some distressed bakers twine to them.

Frame 1

I love how this frame turned out. It really does look old. I cut the Santa from Christmas Noel at 5 1/4" using my E2. For the beard layer I added flower soft to give it fluff. I then added some ink to the edges and also dabbed it onto the die cut itself to give an aged look. On this frame I did add some Tim H. distress ink. Cant remember which one though. MY BAD for not writing it down.

          I think this is my favorite one out of them all (mainly because I love snowmen). I cut this guy from Christmas Cards at 5 1/2" real dial size. Then I had to use my G to size the layers. I love my Gypsy for doing this. As you can see I distressed everything I could get my ink on.

For this one I cut the tree from Winter frolic with my E2 at 6". After getting it all together I used different color stickles to add color for lights. After they dried I inked the entire tree before adhering it to my frame base. I am so happy with this set that I am planning on making other sets for gift giving if time allows me to. I would love to do this with a baby Jesus, Joseph and Mary to show the true meaning of Christmas. This is a fun and exciting project to work on, especially if you like to get your hands dirty LOL and you will with this project.

Card Wednesday

Hi everyone, hope your week is going great and also hope you are enjoying my projects I am showcasing this week. Today I have 2 cards, which are the same but different. LOL I will be giving these to relatives. For my cart I used a non-Christmas cart******Country Life.  I also used a Martha Stewart snowman punch. My papers are from my scrap box, I love it when I can use from there. These cards are A2 size.

    From our farm to yours cards.

These cards were made to be the same, but the first barn I cut was a bit smaller then I needed, so I re cut it larger. I decided that I wasn't going to throw the small one away so I just went ahead a made it into another card like the bigger cut but I placed my sentiments in different places and added ribbon to the small one. I think they both turned out good. I used some Snow writer on the edges of the barn and fence to give the look of fresh snow. I also wanted the barn to look lit up (farmers usually work past dark) so I cut the base in yellow. For my sentiment I use my trusted computer to print out what I wanted to say using a font called Kristen ITC at 12. I also used some light weight textured CS for these.
    CARD 1

This card has the larger cut barn that is cut at 3 1/2". I also used on both cards a piece of white pearl paper and used a dotted embossing folder to give some texture for snow. You are able to see this in the above picture. On this card I cut the base of the barn in a white glitter paper so the snow would sparkle. For the snowman punch I colored over the hat with a black marker.

Just wanted to show the sentiment here.

Card 2

For this card I cut the barn at 3" and basically did the same thing to both barns using the snow writer.

I did add some red ribbon to this card and added my sentiment (same size as card 1) on the ribbon. I just cut this sentiment base smaller. I did cut this barns yellow using glitter paper. ( I didn't have enough left to cut the larger one with it.) I hand drew the snowman's faces on both of the punched snowmen.

Tag Tuesday

Hi everyone, welcome to tag day. Well I must start by saying, this hasn't been easy for me cause I work better if the format is 12x12. lol I thought about these tags for a day or two and decided I was going to do shape tags this week. I found some images on some of my carts that I just had to use. I also designed a couple of them on my G so I could get the sizing right, especially the snowman which is two images on two different carts. I used the same TO and FROM stamp for all tags. (I just don't have any others) lol

Each tag is two sided so I just cut the image 1 time regular and 1 flipped and glued them together.

These mittens were cut using Jolly Holidays and they are cut at 5" I added some medal snowflake brads to the front of the tag before gluing them together.

The snowman was cut using Snow friends at 4" The banner is cut from Christmas Cheer at 1.35" (I used my G to get the sizing just right so the banner would stretch from hand to hand) I used foam tape on the banner to give depth. I also used my G to hide the face so I could use a Peachy Keen Winter Face Assortment Stamp (3/4")

This light is cut from Christmas Cheer at 4 1/2". I used some stickles to give some shine.

this is the back side of the light. I used glitter paper for the back side. I knew my stamp wouldn't work as well if I used this on the front so I opted to just use it for the back.

Well thats all I have today, tomorrow I will have a card for you. I used a non-christmas cart for this one. Come see what I did. Have a great day all.

Layout Monday

Hi everyone, its again my turn for 5 projects this week and today is Layout Monday at scrapcavecreations and I hope you like what I have for you. I think my baby Sis did an AWESOME JOB last week and I want to tell her THANKS for a great job. We will see her again next week.
This LO is very light on Cricut, but I think its a very elegant LO and I didnt want to crowd it with to much.    The only cricut cuts are the hollys on both pages (winter woodland 21/2") and 2011 (alphalicious 1") I also embossed the top layer of the hollies to give texture. The base papers are Bassil and all the pattern paper came from DCWV stack called CHRISTMAS COMBO. The medal label is one I picked up from Pigeon Forge TN this summer and didnt write down the brand name, Sorry!  I found in another DCWV stack(HOLIDAY COLLECTION) a piece of paper that had the ornaments on it and I decided to fussy cut them out since they would match the other gold papers on the LO, and they look great. Its not called fussy cutting for nothing though. LOL The ribbon is some that I had in my stash and have no idea what the brand is.   Hope you like this one.

Bag it Friday

Wow is it friday already?? Time sure flies when your havin fun!! LOL.
For my project today I re-used a bag that I had around the house. The cuts are from Winter Frolic @ 4.75 with the layers, but no shadow.

I used all scraps for this project also. I used some jute, an epoxy sticker and ribbon from my stash. I have some foam glitter stickers I got from JoAnn's and decided to put some on here. I used a gel pen to "stitch" on the sock and inked a little bit of copper colored ink around the stocking.

Here you can see the epoxy sticker and the stitching.

Here you can see the inking and see that I poped up the stocking. I actually used foam tape to pop up the base too!

I cut off the little tab on the stocking and folded another strip of paper to to make a little hang loop on it. Now who will get this filled with goodies?? I wonder...........

Home Decor/Gift

Hello there! Hope you have enjoyed my projects so far. Today I have an photo album I changed up a little bit. I am going to give this as a gift to my MIL, she's been wanting some pic's to carry in her purse so I figured this would be perfect.

I purchased this album at Dollar General for a $1. It's 4.5" x 6.25"
and holds several pictures. So here it is..........

For this project I used all scrap papers, good way to use some of them up! The tree is from Stretch Your Imagination and cut at 2.29" x 4.41" on my Gypsy. The joy is cut from Gypsy Wanderings cut at4.23" x 2.20" on the G.

I use multi colored stickles to color the ornaments. I added some i-rock gems on the side and heat embossed the year on the bottom.

Well there you have another project done. Hope you like it and you get inspired to try some new things! I am out of my comfort zone on a few of these so I hope your enjoying them! lol

Card Wednesday

Here's my card for "card wednesday". This is a pretty easy card but I just love this little mouse and had to use him!

Most of the papers are from the scraps and left overs from monday's lo. The mouse is cut from Winter Frolic @ 3.5 "
"tis the season" is cut from Scandinavian Christmas cards @ 1.5"
I cut the card base down from an 8.5" x 11" sheet of plain card stock to 5.5" x 11"

I used some foam tape to "pop" up the mouse, cause he's just so dagonne cute!

Here are my gift tags for " Tag Tuesday"! These are really big tags at 7". But I thought if I had some big presents I need big tags! Makes sense right? lol So hope you enjoy........

Back side of the light brown tag.

Front side of lt. brown tag. I added some wired ribbon, tied with some sheer red ribbon, and some jute to attach it to the gift. I "stitched" around the edges and slot with a black glitter gel pen and inked the edges and some on the snowman side.

Back of the red tag. You can see I "stitched" on this one also with a white gel pen and added the same ribbons too.

Here's the front of the red tag. I cut the "to & from" from Jasmine cart. "to" @ 2.63" (on my gypsy) "from" @ 1.94" ( on my g). The snowman and trees were cut from Winter Frolic. Snowman @ 4.5" and trees @ 4".

I adhered the clear jewles with crystal stickles.

Intro to my sis

Hi everyone, Just a reminder that starting tomorrow my sister Connie will be a guest designer here in the cave. She is a fairly new crafter, but she does an excellent job. I introduced her to the cricut a few yrs ago and she finally broke down a couple yrs ago and bought a create and has since upgraded to a peppermint expression. She is the Mother to a precious little girl named Emily who is 3yrs old, so she is a very busy MOM with all the responsibilities that a mother has, so her crafting time is few and far between. We only live a few miles apart but still don't get to visit as much as we would like, but we have become closer sisters then we have ever been. I love her much and I believe everyone will enjoy seeing her work this week. Tomorrow she will start the week with LayOut Monday and have a new project for each day of the work week. A reminder of the schedule is: Layout Monday, Tag Tuesday, Card Wednesday, Home Decor/gift Thursday and Bag it Friday. Check back each day this week to see all her great projects. WINTER WONDERLAND TRAIL RIDE LAYOUT

This LO was so fun to make cause I can envision my horse and I taking a nice trail ride in the snow this winter. If you follow my blog and visit regularly then you know that in late summer I purchased a new horse. Although I have been riding since age 5, I have been without a rideable horse for a few yrs now and I just decided it was time to get back in the swing of my love of riding, so in enters SHRIMPER , my new steed. As a kid I rode yr round, rain, snow, sunny it really didn't matter to me cause I loved riding and being around my horses and to a point that's still me. LOL I prob will not ride in the rain (no wait, that's already happened with Shrimper)lol OK OK I will ride no matter what. I don't like to be cold much in my older yrs, but I will take shorter rides during winter and wanted a LO that I could put pics on to prove it. LOL so this is what I came up with. I used 3 carts for this LO and they are: Snow Angel (an imagine cart), Winter Woodland and Old West.

Page one

For my background papers I used Snow Angel to print out two 12x12 scenes (page 28 in the hand book) on some white AC cardstock. There were some designs on the scene I didn't want showing so I took another piece of white CS and used my CM wavy cutter and cut a piece 3"x 12" and layed it over the bottom to cover up the unwanted things. U can see this in the above pic. I did this on both pages since I just wanted the tree background to give the woodsy (is that a word) look. My picture mats are also printed using my Imagine and they are both on page 45 of the handbook, its the two blue tones.

I will give all sizes at the bottom of my post in case you want them.

For the horse and rider I pulled out my Gypsy and put all them together and played around with size till it looked good, this is the end result. I cut the girl rider (ME) lol out 4 times using different papers and hand pieced the pieces back on my base, which was a skin toned color, to give it more life like character. I think she turned out soo cute.

Page 2

Just wanted to let you know that the Trail ride base is a strip of 2 1/4" x 11 1/4 white cardstock, I hand cut a V in the ends to give it the ribbon/western effect. I also inked the edges and place some jewels on each end. I used some liquid snow to add the effects of snow on my barn and I also used some White acrylic paint to my picture mats since my white ink only blended with the colors.

Wanted to show you where I decided to put a journal box. I cut the barn doors so they would open and covered the back with some off white paper large enough to cover the opening, then stamped using a journal block stamp and glued it to the back of the barn and now I have hidden journaling.

One more thing, I added some punched snowflakes ( MS) randomly on my LO to give it dimension, I then added some stickles onto them to give it some shine. You can see some of them on the above pic.

HOME DECOR/GIFTS THURSDAY

Hello everyone,welcome to the cave today. Today is home decor/gifts Thursday, so I really went out of my comfort zone today. LOL I have a subscription to the Paper&Crafts magazine and when I received the Nov/Dec issue a few weeks ago I seen a project that I just had to try. If you get this mag you can look on the cover to see where my inspiration came from. Since I can from our garden I have numerous quart jars on hand so I started with a regular quart Jar (not a wide mouth)and this is what I did next. I did some measuring on the jar to get an idea what size I needed to cut a label then off to my cricut I went. I purchased the candle and holder at michaels and the Christmas potpourri at the dollar general store.

For my label I decided to use Elegant Edges and used the shape on page 70 using the oblong key and cut both the base and shift cuts. I CUT TWO OF THESE, one for each side of the jar. After cutting them I Stamped with a large Merry Christmas stamp purchased at HL onto the top label. After gluing them together I used my ribbon hole punch to cut slits in the two ends flaps that I wanted to go side to side so I could add ribbon. I added hot fix jewels to the other two flaps that are up and down. I also cut the prongs off a holly brad (bought at HL) and hot glued it in the upper left corner. I did this for both labels.

I used my ATG tape and adhered them to the jar and began decorating the rest of the jar.

I took some twine that I purchased in the jewelery department at Ms and tied the two labels together on each side. I also took this same twine and wrapped it around the top of the jar then did different things on each side. On this side I took a prima flower that I added a glittered brad for the center and glued it to the twine.

On this side a tied a couple of buttons to the end of the twine. This way I can display this either against something and turn it for different looks or I can place it in the center of a display and show both side. Now to finish just add your potpourri or berries ( this is what was in the magazine) and slip in the candle holder and you are now set for a cute Christmas decoration for your home or would make great gifts for teachers, mail carriers , BUS DRIVERS> LOL and so on. Sorry I couldn't resist the temptation. ;)

Card Wednesday

Hi everyone, today is Card Wednesday and I have 2 cards I want to show you today. These cards will be one of a kind cards for me cause they are a bit more time consuming then I would like for multiples. LOL Hope you like. They are both A2 size cards. I used the same red glittered CS on both cards, but they both have totally different looks.

This cards red scalloped rectangle was cut using a shape from the Elegant edges cart. It actually is two shapes welded together, cause I needed the rectangle to be a bit longer then the actual cut on the cart. I just lined up the scallops and welded them together making it as long as I needed. JOY is cut using my new Scandinavian Christmas cards cart, cut at 3". I cut 5/8" off the bottom of the front of the card and placed a strip of MS pattern paper on the inside bottom, so it would show where I cut the top flap off. HOPE That is clear as mud. LOL I inked up the edges and added some JOLEE'S Hot fix jewels on the bottom to finish it up.

This card base is almond in color and the front is covered with some scrap pattern paper that I had in my scrap box. I cut the red frame from FANCY FRAMES at 3.20" on my G but 3.25 would work just fine I think. I stamped an inside sentiment on white CS with Embossing ink then added some Tim Holtz distressed gold embossing power and heat embossed it. I then used my frame for a template and hand cut the size I needed it to be to fit on the inside of the frame. I added some Gold Ribbon to the bottom the adhered the sentiment to the frame. After gluing the frame down to the front of the card I added a prima flower and gold hot fix jewels by imaginisce to the top of the embossed sentiment.

Tag Tuesday Distressed tags

Hi everyone, welcome to the first post of my November Christmas projects series. There will be a project posted each day (Hopefully) of the work week thru out the month of November. Today is Tag Tuesday and boy did have struggle with these. I'm out of my comfort zone for most days thru out the month so it will do me good to be able to branch out. LOL I love old so this is what I came up with for Tag Tuesday. Hope you like them. For both tags, I used Craft CS using TBBM scalloped tag on page 91 in the handbook, these are cut at 5". Then I took a couple of Christmas stamps that I have and stamped on my tag using some Tim Holtz vintage photo Distress ink to make it look like a pattern paper. I then went over with the same ink pad to distress the entire tag. I did this on both sides but took a bit less care to the back. Then I decorated each tag with a cricut die cut or two and added some pattern scrap papers, which is where I used a TO and FROM stamp,added some pearls and /or hot fix jewels for embellishments ( I did add some ink to these to soften them) and walla Ive got tags. I did had bakers twine for the ties and also inked this up to give it that same aged look.

I cut the gift die cut from some glitter paper using Christmas cheer. I cut using the shadow key at 1 1/2". Page 101

For this tag I cut the trees from Christmas cheer from some scraps at 1 1/2" each, the strip of pattern paper is about 1".

Hope you like these. I know some don't really like the aged look, but its one of my most favorite looks. Tomorrow is CARD WEDNESDAY, so pop in to check it out.

Well everyone it has been a rough 6 weeks but most of my clean project is complete. I want to say thanks to those of you that are hanging in there with me and waiting for more projects from me. I have been filming my next Lets Scrapbook Together series and the intro video will be up tomorrow. YEAH!   I have 3 of them complete and will continue filming later this evening, so my goal is to have a video up everyday next week so that the entire series will be up by the weekend. My theme is Halloween.

Now on with more news, I have teamed up with my sister and we will be posting on my blog every weekday during the month of NOVEMBER with a Christmas themed project. The Schedule is as followed

Hi everyone, just wanted to let you know that I survived the house clean (I have about 1 more good day of cleaning) and boy AM I sick of cleaning. Well during my major cleaning I also cleaned out closets and storage shelves and now I have tons of yard sale items and decided I may as well get that done with so this week I have been getting things priced for a HUGE YARD sale this weekend. I am so glutton for punishment its not funny. I sure hope alot of it goes so I don't have to repack it up to take to goodwill, but I know alot of it will go there. LOL As far as my house I have to clean the basement TV room and the major cleaning will be all done. I'm waiting to do that room when I can get the carpet shampooed, next week I hope. I did go ahead and do my SCRAP CAVE on Saturday of last week so that room is all ready for me when I get to get back to it. VERY SOON. Next Friday I will be leaving for a wedding in BRANSON MO for the weekend (my son 17 is standing up for the Groom and my Daughter is standing up for the Bride) so not much time for crafting next week but wait till the week after that, Its all mine. LOL
I hope you all will bear with me for just a bit longer, cause I'm planning something special for next month so just hang on for a little longer. I have to admit that I craft better when my house is in order and cleaned so it should be a great time to be here, since Ive just taken a few weeks to clean and organize from top to bottom, side to side and everything in between. LOL oh boy did I really do all that. YEP! just ask my sore achy muscles and Im not completely done yet. The end is nearing gang and I will be back for some crafting fun and I'm still planning that LST series. Hi everyone, hope your day is going well . Mine is busy busy busy but I thought I would take a break and let you all know that I am starting a hugh undertaking and will prob be MIA for awhile. I will post if I can get time to do something for you, but the task at hand will take alot of my time. I have a project coming up on Monday with Imagine,Create & Share and haven't had a chance to start on it yet, although I do think I know what I'm doing. and I also have another LO I want to post here when I have a minute or two. I just wanted you all to know that I will be back with more projects after I complete my task.
I have started cleaning my home from top to bottom and painting our storage area in our basement, walls and floor, this means moving things from one end to the next then back again. LOL I'm already worn out. I am hoping this task will be done in about 6 weeks, so I will prob not be posting much till then so I wanted all my fabulous followers and friends to know why Ive not been here. Well I better get back to it, I need to move things so I can begin painting tomorrow. Have a great day.

A new family member coming to our house

Expect a western LO sometime in the near future. I have ridden horses since I was 5 yrs old and for the past 5 to 6 yrs Ive been without a horse to saddle up and ride, the one I have is 25+ yrs old and he has some health probs that has left him unsafe for riding. I found this guy a couple of saturdays ago and just fell head over heals for him. I have had horses worth lots of money (I used to do alot of Barrel Racing) and today I feel like this one is worth more then any of them just because he is sparking and bring back my true love of horses. I have sooo missed having one to not only ride, but just plain and simple do what you do when you have a horse. I am a true horselover and have been my whole life.

Hello there, are you suprised to see I havent fell off the face of the earth. LOL Boy I have been having some crafting blahs this summer. I just havent had the juices flowing, so I decided rather then make Layouts or cards that Im not happy with to just lay low and wait for the juices to start flowing again. Im not a crafter who just has natural tatent, I work for all my creations. LOL Today I have a very simple, I mean simple project that I did for my school bus kids to welcome them back to school. My #s increased this yr and most are BOYS. I have 4 middleschoolers, 3 elementary and 4 preschoolers (first yr to haul 3 and 4 yr olds). I have only 3 girls and two of those are preschoolers. OH MY What have I gotten myself into.
Anywhoo here are 3 of the goodie bags I will be giving my students today at the end of their bus ride home.
SEE I TOLD YA IT WAS SIMPLE! I used Mickey font and welded the words together on my Gypsy and shadowed them.

Good Friday to everyone, today is the day we've been waiting for, so gather your favorite glues and your dry setted LO and lets get this one FINISHED shall we. I hope you all have enjoyed this LST series, please let me know if you would like me to continue doing them. Its by the comments that I decide to continue them. They are alot of work and very time consuming but as long as I have interest I will gladly continue them, so take just a couple of minutes and give me your thoughts. By the weekend we will have a dble page LO completed if your keeping up with the videos, if not you can do the series at your convience. Happy Friday to all my scrappin friends. I was finally able to get another LST series completed. I am feeling sooooooooooo much better then I was just a week or so ago. I never had a cough hold on like that, but Im glad it finally did. Today I am getting back hopefully in doing some blogging for the next week. I have a 6 part LST series that will be starting today that is the intro and also Ive shown you the LO that I created. These are so fun for me to do for you all, I feel like when Im taping them that I have friends sitting across the table. Good Friday morning to everyone. Well I played a bit in the cave yesterday and was able to finish up some cards that I started working on last week but just didn't feel like finishing up. The 1st card is one that I started at the crop in Louisville KY (believe it or not, but the only thing I got done that day was cutting out two of these Thanks sentiments from Lacey Labels) NO JOKE! Too much visiting I guess. Well yesterday I was unpacking and found them and decided to finish up the cards. This is only one of two but they are basically alike. I have not a clue what size I cut them at, so sorry. The card is A2 size though if that helps with sizing if you'd like to recreate it. I really like LACY Labels.

The second pic is one I made using the Imagine. I was just playing around with it soon after I got it and made this cut. I did separate the images and layered them. I like that look so much better, but the unlayered look will come in handy in a pinch. I used the cart that came with the machine, Imagine More.

I did add the tiny ric rac on the bottom. Had a blast gluing that down. lol Again I don't remember the size, but the card is A2. I used some PC paper for my background.

Hope you enjoyed these and I hope to be back with more post in the near future. My hubby and I are thinking of going camping this weekend, so I may be away from the cave for a couple of days, but will be back next week. I do plan on filming the entire LST series next week.

My very 1st Cinch project

Hello everyone, I first want to apologize to you all for not posting when I said I would. I so wanted to get my LST series up this week but Ive been battling a summer cold that would not let go of me. The worst was a dry cough and talking or moving much would set off coughing fits. I am hopeful that I am now on somewhat of a mend, I'm soooo tired of not feeling like doing anything but watch TV and sleep. Ive slept more during the day in the last week and a half then Ive slept in a lonnnnnnngggggg while in the day time.  I'm doing better but not quiet well yet, still some coughing fits but they are improving. I did go to the DC but those meds made my cough worse, so I quit taking them.   I was able to get out of the house Last Friday and attend a Circle meet up/crop in Louisville KY and had a bunch of fun even with all my coughing fits. Boy did I load up on the cough drops. MY TRAVEL MATES, I'm sure got so tired of hearing my coughing spells.  THANKS, YOU TWO for putting up with me(you know who you are) lol. At the meet up's Shannon from PC brings some nice giveaways and I don't know what happened but I Won the IMAGINE. I'm still in shock to win something like that. I haven't really felt like using it much, but I did have to play with it some. Hopefully I can get back in the CAVE more now that I'm feeling some better to see what she can do.
I have something up my sleeve to say thanks to all my followers for hanging in with me so STAY TUNED for that,  Anyway  that's the scoop with me.  On with crafting.
Today I decided I wanted to make my son, MATT, something that he could write down his hours of work in so he didn't have to write them on a piece of paper and take a chance to misplace it. Matt works in the fields for a couple of local farmers and this way his hrs are all in one place. I think its very plane but didn't want to put alot of work into it  because farmers usually come in very dirty and I knew he wouldn't wash his hands before handling the time journal. My plan is to find him a John Deere pen to add so he can use that to write in his hrs. Both farmer depend on him to keep track of his hrs. Don't tell them that he would prob. do it for free. lol   This was my 1st time using my Cinch that my hubby got me for christmas.

Hi everyone, I just wanted to ck in with you today and let you know that I will be having my LST series within a week or so. I was planning on starting my filming this week, but I have came down with a pretty bad cold that has settled in my chest and head. My voice sounds awful and when I talk it gets me coughing like crazy, so I decided to hold off on the series for a week or so. I was also wanting to get some other projects going but I have been on the couch since Monday evening. What a way to start my summer vacation. I will be back gang, so I hope you will ck back soon. Sarah's Graduation cake I made with the help of my E2

Ok all first I must tell you to ignore the writing on this cake cause my icing hand writing is awful. Anyway on to the cap, I cut out the grad cap on Locker talk with parchment paper then used the negitive as a stencile for making this hat. It turned out great (wish my writing was better) I think. So the hat came from Locker talk. I used my star tip to fill in the cap with stars and I used my grass tip for the tassel ends, which you cant see real well here. :( If I had more time I was wanting to do the same technique with the writing but I just ran out of time.

Hi everyone, its been awhile since Ive posted anything. I am still on my scrappin blahs to a point, Ive been without my Gypsy for a few weeks since I had to have it replaced, thats how I design most of my LOs now. Today is my 1st day of summer vacation and I have been cleaning house trying to get ready for my Daughters Open House celebration for her college graduation.
I have purchased a couple ( really mean a few) new carts while on my blahs, lol , and have decided I'm going to do another LST series if I have interest. One of the carts I purchased is the Independence day mini and thought a 4th of July LO would be perfect for a June LST series. I could also use stand and salute or both, so I'm asking if you would like to see this theme? I would happily take suggestions if you want to see a different theme, just comment under this post to let me know. Summer here I come!

Hi everyone, I have for your viewing pleasure, LOL a double page LO that I did for the circle monthly challenge contest for this month. Its a drawing not judged ( I'm pretty sure) so I have just much chance as anyone who enters. LOL What it is they had a TIC TAC TOE board and each grid had a technique you had to use and make a tic tack toe, so in other words you had to use 3 techniques on a project that were in any row you choose. I went for the following: Use cricut flowers on your project, use buttons and lastly make a ruffle using paper, ribbon or what ever on your project. I accomplished all of these so here it is. I think I'm putting my DD on these cause she GRADUATES from COFO in BRANSON MO on SUNDAY. What a great mothers day this will be. C of O is a Christian Working College that you work through out the yr for your tuition and you can work summers for room and board. If you do it all you can graduate without any debt. She didn't work all summers cause she got a scholarship each year to help with her room and board, but she had not one bill for school and neither do we.

For my papers I used K&Company for bases,picture frames, most of my pattern flowers, title. Bazzil for pic layer,layers on title. I did use some DCWV paper for a couple of my flowers (scraps). I used various buttons and metal embellies. I have not a clue on my ribbon brand. I also used some twine. For the inside of some of my flowers I used some Recollections boutique fleur embellishments. The tan pattern paper is also K&Company. CARTS USED Goerge,Walk in my garden, cake basics

Here are 2 Mothers Day cards I made for my Mom and my hubby's Mom. The card bases are 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 so they are nice and big. I get tired of working with A2 cards all the time. Since I can make my own now I can make them any

Todays video is showing my finished diecuts from page 2 and also we dry set the LO so we can begin the glueing on the next video. Today video is longer then I like them to be, but it was soo hard to edit some of it out so please bare with me. You will need all your page 2 papers, glue, embellies (for dressing up any diecuts),cricut machine, Easter 2010 mini and Designers Calendar if using it. Cross (from designers calendar) 7"   2 white and one brown if staying with my colors
NOTE   If using your Easter mini you will need to expermint on the size of your cross.

You will only need one cut of this.

If You want to cut the scalloped oval egg (Easter mini) for your cross background cut it at 6 1/2" this size will work for the designers Calendar cross.

Hi, everyone. I know its been awhile but let me tell ya I have been struggling with the crafting blahs and its NOT FUN> >>> I did manage to whip up these very simple Easter goodie bags for my bus students. I went ahead and used white lunch sacks instead of my clear bags because I am giving them a squeeze it drink and the bottle didnt fit in the clear bag. I put a google eye on the bunnies. Like I said these are simmmmmmmple. LOL I wanted to let you all know that I am planning on a Let Scrapbook Together series soon. It will be easter themed and using the Easter mini and maybe another one, not 100% sure yet. I figured I'd do it after Easter so you could better cordinate your colors. I do have a LO designed so stay tuned. I am making some more goodie bags for neices and nephews so I may get those up soon too. Thanks to all of you for hanging in there with me during my absents.

Happy Wednesday everyone. Today I want to show you my altered clock project for the scrap cave. I went to IKEA late last week while on spring break and purchased this clock. It was perfect for altering with vinyl. Since I really didnt want to keep the arms and # dots black I painted the clock arms and put green dots on the # spots. Cricutholic was cut out using Base camp and the cricut head is from my new circle cart cricuteveryday.

Hi everyone, SO Sorry for being gone for over a week with no projects. I was all set for spring break to do some blog projects and breaking the caffeine habit threw me for a loop. I am much better now (soo sad my spring break is over) and I worked on a dble page LO yesterday of my family and me all dressed up for a wedding. This doesnt happen very often that we all are dressed up and all together, so I had my niece snap some pictures of us to scrapbook. Believe it or not I didn't pull out my cricut for this one. I did however use some awesome flowers that were sent to me from Connie over at the 2kraftygirls blog. They look awesome on this LO. Enjoy!

ON this LO I used DCWV for my base papers ( LINEN CLOSET STACK) and some DCWV pattern paper bought by the sheet. I also used a piece of odd pattern paper that I had by dream street papers. The flourish is by Recollections (Ms) which I cut and altered the look of these on both pages.
As stated before the flower were made by Connie. I used some recollections ribbon as well.
The letters are some sticker alphas that I have in my stash. The black sparkle paper is from DCWV.

LOVE THESE FLOWERS I took a button and tied some twine on it and put it on the large flower and took some pearls and put them in the center of the smaller flowers.

Hi Everyone, I am still alive, but barely. LOL I am (WAS) a caffeine JUNKY and I decided that over spring break I was giving it up COLD . AND SO I DID. I was expecting bad headaches but instead I got bad body aches, so I was not in a crafty mood. Ive been on the couch as much as anything. I think I'm over the worst now, but we will see what today holds. I hope to get back into my cave very soon. I am wanting to work on a DBLE PG spread. Hi everyone, I'm posting this for my Sis, who wanted to know how I did my ATG boxes so I'm posting for her and thought some others might like to see how easy it is to do.

Here is the measurements.
Paper size you need for box cover is 4 7/8 x 8 7/8 wierd size I know.

Ok here is where I may confuse you. LOL

You will score 4 lines on the 4 7/8" side. Meaning you will be scoring lines 4 7/8"long. GOT IT> lol They are as followed:
3/8", 1", 4 5/8", 5 1/4".

On the 8 7/8" side you will score 2 lines. Meaning you will be scoring lines 8 7/8" long. They are as followed:
5/8" and 4 1/4".
I hope you all understand that mess. LOL I will post a pic.

Mini cards with box

Hi everyone, I have been busy lately with my crafting. Ive made my videos for my LETS SCRAPBOOK TOGETHER series and Ive been working on another project. I have for you today a project that really is out of my comfort zone, but I dont know why I even thought of it but I did so here is what I did. I had some ATG tape boxes (bought at Ms) and I have been throwing them out but the other day I decided to keep them. Well guess what, I recyled them. I will show pics today and if you want a video turtorial on them let me know. I have a pattern for the box cover and I also was able to figure out the size on the envys. The cards are 3x3 cards. Let me know whatca think. I will do that video if someone wants it.

Today we are making the picture mats for our LO so grab your paper trimmer and the papers you have chosen for this project. To recap, you will need pattern paper (may need more then one piece) and 2 cordinating colors of CS. Here are the sizes to the 3 layers of the picture mats. NOTE: I will be referring to them as the colors I used in my LO but yours may differ.

For the 3 large mats cut papers as followed:

Layer 1 Pattern Paper 4 1/4 x 6 1/4 (x3)

Layer 2 Light blue CS 4 1/2 x 6 1/2 (x3)

Layer 3 Dark blue CS 4 3/4 x 6 3/4 (x3)

For the 2 smaller mats cut papers as followed:

Layer 1 pattern paper 4 x 4 (x2)

Layer 2 light blue CS 4 1/4 x 41/4 (x2)

Layer 3 Dark blue CS 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 (x2)
